Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a compassionate Care Worker to support clients in their own homes across the Sutherland region on a permanent part-time basis. You will help with daily tasks, provide emotional support and companionship to maintain independence and dignity.

You will perform domestic duties, meal prep, personal care, transport and social engagement, while upholding our values of integrity and respect.

Qualifications

• Valid NSW Driver’s Licence and a reliable NSW C Class vehicle.
• Current accredited First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations (highly recommended).
• Basic computer and smartphone literacy.
• Desirable: Experience in Home Care or Disability Support.
• Desirable: Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Home, and Community).

Responsibilities

• Domestic Assistance – household chores such as washing, ironing, vacuuming and dusting.
• Meal Preparation – planning, preparing, and cooking meals.
• Personal Care Support – showering, dressing, grooming and other personal hygiene needs.
• Social Engagement – companionship and encouraging participation in social activities and community engagement.
• Transport Services – providing transport for appointments, shopping trips and social outings.
