Job summary

MD Homecare seeks a dedicated Domestic Assistant to support NDIS participants and aged care clients in keeping homes clean, organised, and comfortable. Tasks include vacuuming, laundry, changing bed linen, and general tidying, with flexibility to assist with groceries as needed.

You'll work to a participant-driven schedule, building routines and strong relationships with clients while ensuring safety and a respectful home environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in domestic cleaning, laundry, and household tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to follow participant preferences and care plans.
• Physical capability to perform sustained cleaning duties.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy in a home environment.
• Good communication skills and respect for participant privacy.
• Reliable transport and a current driver's licence.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety in home settings.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, mop, and dust rooms and common areas.
• Clean bathrooms, kitchens, and other living spaces.
• Handle laundry, ironing, and bed linen changes.
• Perform general tidying and organize living areas.
• Assist with grocery shopping and errands as needed.
• Follow participant preferences and care plans.
• Maintain a clean and respectful environment for participants.
