Job summary

Help at Hand Support Services in Melbourne is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred support and varied daily routines tailored to each client. You will assist with outings, appointments or in-home companionship, requiring empathy, reliability and strong communication.

Ideal candidates have own vehicle, valid police check, an appropriate qualification, and a current first aid/CPR certificate, plus a valid Australian driver’s licence.

Qualifications

Must have own fully insured vehicle.
Police check within 6 months from application or international check if applicable.
Certificate III in Disability or equivalent.
Current Working with Children Check.
First aid/CPR certificates current.
Full and clean Australian driver’s licence.
Be punctual and reliable and flexible.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Empathetic and proactive with genuine interest to work in this field.
Ability to self-supervise and stay calm in crises.
Right to live and work in Australia.
