Job summary

Claro Disability Services is seeking casual disability support workers across sites in Frankston, Mornington, and Hastings. You will provide person-centered support, mobility assistance, and daily living tasks to clients with complex needs in a caring environment.

Qualifications

• Person-centered, warm and caring approach.
• Interest or experience in complex care and disability.
• Great communicator with ability to read cues and adapt.
• Reliable and professional with good notetaking and teamwork.
• Flexible and adaptable; able to handle changing needs and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates) to understand goals and routines.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices as outlined in the plan.
• Monitor and support medical needs: observe changes, follow plans, liaise with care team.
• Provide social time and participation: create meaningful activities aligned with client interests.
• Support autonomy and advocacy: respect consent and promote independence where possible.
• Respect and reflect the client’s cultural backgrounds, beliefs, and values.
