Job summary

SA Health is seeking a Direct Care Worker to support residents with daily living needs through compassionate, person-centred care. You will assist with meals, hydration, transfers, and safe mobility, while helping maintain a clean, safe environment and managing laundry.

Qualifications

• Certificate III qualification in Individual Support or equivalent (relevant to the role).
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team and support colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with meals and hydration and support safe mobility through transfers and the use of mechanical lifting aids where required.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe environment by bed making, cleaning and sanitising equipment and utensils, and managing the distribution of laundry and personal clothing.
• Observe and report on resident wellbeing, contribute to basic assessments, and assist in identifying individual and group diversional therapy needs.
• Contribute to quality healthcare in Regional South Australia.
