Job summary

CatholicCare Wollongong is seeking a Community Support Worker to provide personal care and domestic assistance to aged care and NDIS participants in their homes and communities within the Illawarra region.

The role is permanent part-time with flexible days and hours, offering opportunities for community-based support, respite services, and social engagement while supporting participants to live independently.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent completed or working towards
• Current NSW Driver's Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Willingness to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, and National Criminal History Check

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and grooming support tailored to individual participant needs
• Assist with domestic tasks including light cleaning, meal preparation, and shopping
• Support accurate medication administration as prescribed by a medical professional
• Provide social support and respite within participants' homes and communities
• Document participant wellbeing and report any significant changes to the care team

Education

Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent

Current First Aid Certificate
