MiCare is a not-for-profit organisation delivering aged care, home care, retirement living and migrant support services across Victoria and Queensland. We are seeking a caring Assistant in Nursing for a residential aged care home in Birkdale to provide high-quality, person-centred care and support residents’ independence and wellbeing.

You will work with clinical and care teams to build relationships with residents and families, contributing to meaningful daily care and activity participation.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
• Experience in residential or community aged care.
• Knowledge of person-centred care, infection control and safe manual handling.

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Support residents with mobility, transfers and manual handling.
• Assist with meals, nutrition and hydration.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Encourage participation in lifestyle and recreational activities.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and care needs.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the wider care team to deliver exceptional care.
