Job summary

Apollo Care at Alexandra Gardens in Queensland is hiring a Part-Time Care Service Assistant to support residents and Personal Care Workers. You’ll help maintain a safe, clean environment and contribute to a warm, respectful home.

You will assist with mobility, meals, and activity participation while building meaningful relationships with residents and families. The role emphasizes teamwork, empathy, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Clearance or willingness to obtain
• Availability across the week
• Experience in Aged Care or similar environment
• Unlimited working rights in Australia
• Hospitality or customer service experience in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion and empathy
• Understanding of resident rights and Aged Care standards (advantage)

Responsibilities

• Providing mobility assistance and support to residents
• Assisting with meals and clearing trays
• Supervising residents in memory care or activity spaces
• Stocking personal items and ensuring dignity and privacy
• Cleaning resident rooms and assisting with laundry
• Providing emotional support to residents and families
• Encouraging participation in activities and social events
