Job summary

Respect is seeking compassionate Casual Personal Care Assistants to join our rural aged care home in regional Australia. You will deliver person-centred care, assist with daily living activities, mobility and personal hygiene, and build meaningful relationships with residents and their families.

You will work with nurses and the care team, observe changes in health and wellbeing, and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with care plans.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
• Experience in aged care or a similar role (desirable).
• Genuine passion for caring for older people.
• Current National Police Check and relevant vaccinations (or willingness to obtain).
• Current NDIS WC (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including assistance with showering, dressing and grooming.
• Support residents with mobility and safe manual handling.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and daily living activities.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the wider care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans.
