Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a community controlled organisation as an Executive Officer.
  • Possession of a current ‘C’ Class Open Driver’s Licence valid in NSW is required.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate and Working with Children’s Check.

Job description

The Company Secretary/Executive Officer works closely with the Executive Leadership Team as part of the People, Quality & Culture Unit by assisting the development and implementation of strategic and operational projects as directed by senior management and operational/governance committees of Orange Aboriginal Medical Service OAMS.

Key Selection Criteria

  • High level verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience in a community controlled, public sector department or community organisation as an Executive Officer
  • Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Windows, Excel and Outlook
  • Understanding of EEO, OH&S, EAPS and Ethical work practices
  • Willingness to undertake training and other tasks as required
  • Possession of a current ‘C’ Class Open Driver’s Licence valid in NSW is required
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current NSW Working with Children’s Check
  • Current Criminal History check
  • Proof of vaccination must be provided upon acceptance of appointment
  • Knowledge of the Aboriginal Health sector/Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications

Orange Aboriginal Medical Service (OAMS) is making a difference to the health of Aboriginal families and the wider community of Central Western NSW. Commencing in 2005 with only a handful of staff members, OAMS has now expanded across 5 locations, providing a wide range of services to the whole community. You will be required to undertake and pass a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, pre-employment wellness check (including drug and alcohol screening) and obtain an NSW Working with Children Check.
