Overview

Celotti Workforce is seeking an experienced Compactor Operators to join a bulk earthworks crew on a large subdivision project in the Ipswich / Logan / Somerset Region. If you have solid experience operating compactors on civil sites and are looking for reliable work, we want to hear from you!

Role & Responsibilities

As a Compactor Operator you will play a key role in supporting civil construction projects. Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Use various types of compactors (padfoot, smooth drum and multi-wheel) to compact soil, gravel and asphalt.
  • Assist in preparing surfaces for subdivisions, roads, and other civil structures by compacting materials to the required density.
  • Work alongside other operators and earthmoving equipment to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Conduct pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and report any mechanical issues.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret project plans and drawings is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform demanding tasks
