Job summary

RAAFA WA is seeking 2 x Community Support Workers for permanent part‑time roles in the Cannington area and west of Perth WA. You will support clients to live at home and provide personal care, medication reminders and meal preparation.

This in‑home care service offers competitive hourly rates, salary packaging, superannuation, free parking and career development opportunities within a caring, supportive organisation.

Qualifications

• Update your resume.
• Be eligible to work in Australia.
• Valid driver’s licence with access to your own vehicle.
• Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one.
• Be up to date with your Flu vaccinations.

Responsibilities

• Support clients to remain living at home.
• Assist with clients' personal care.
• Assist clients with the management of their medication.
• Assist in the preparation of meals for the clients.
• Provide support to clients by assisting with shopping.
• Support the clients socially and domestically while creating a positive rapport.
• Encourage and promote the independence and freedom of choice of clients.

RAAFA Home Care is the in-home support division of RAAFA, specialising in quality care for individuals with Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) and Veterans Home Care (VHC) eligibility, as well as private services, Home Care Packages and Commonwealth Home Support. As a Community Support Worker for RAAFA Home Care you will be expected to adhere to RAAFA's quality of service in Cannington Area and West of Perth (Freemantle, Claremont, Floreat, Trigg Areas) and surrounding areas.
