Job summary

City of Rockingham seeks a Community Development Officer to support community services, focusing on homelessness, family violence, social isolation and related areas. You will work with internal teams and external stakeholders to create initiatives, resources and events that strengthen resilience and awareness.

The role requires strong communication, administration and planning skills, plus the ability to prepare funding submissions and reports. WA driver’s licence and WWC are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Community Development, Social Science or related field, or substantial relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of community development principles and vulnerable populations.
• Experience in planning, facilitation and managing community projects.
• Current C class driver’s license and Working with Children Check.
