Job summary

Nurse Next Door is a premium home care provider delivering compassionate in-home nursing to aged care and disability clients in Australia. We offer 1-on-1 care with flexible shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight visits.

Join our dedicated team of Registered Nurses (RN) or Enrolled Nurses (EN) to deliver high-quality clinical care, wound and catheter management, and client-centered support in the community.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience with SPC/IDC insertion and removal and complex wound care.
• AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse.
• CPR & First Aid Certification.
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence and a reliable car.
• Working With Children Check.
• NDIS Worker Screening Approval and Orientation.
• Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Catheter management: insertion and removal of SPC/IDC as required.
• Wound care: complex and simple dressings as prescribed.
• Medication administration and clinical health monitoring.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership and families on care plans.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments.

About the Role

Making Lives Better® and Happier Ageing® is at the heart of what we do — enabling members of our ageing and disabled community to live a fulfilling life at home as long as possible, doing what they love to do.

We provide around-the-clock care, so visits may be scheduled early morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight to meet our client's needs.

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) or Enrolled Nurses (EN) to deliver high-quality, clinical community care to clients in the Aged Care and Disability sector. This role offers dedicated 1-on-1 client care, allowing you to truly focus on the client outcomes that matter.

Responsibilities

• Catheter Management: Independent management, insertion, and removal of Suprapubic Catheters (SPC) and Indwelling Catheters (IDC)
• Wound Care: Comprehensive management of simple and complex wound dressings
• Medication Administration: Safe medication management and clinical health monitoring
• Care Collaboration: Partnering with clinical leadership and families to deliver safe, person-centred care plans
• Conduct Nursing Assessments

Relevant experience as a Nurse

You will have relevant experience/knowledge in wound care, catheterisation, medication management, diabetes management and manual handling practices

Be proficient in the use of technology across different software systems and applications.

Desirables, these are not required but an added bonus if you have the below;
