Job summary

Rural Northwest Health invites an Occupational Therapist to join our friendly Allied Health team in Warracknabeal. You will provide evidence-based assessment and intervention across community, acute and aged care services, working with clients from children to older adults.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Clinical experience in public health or hospital settings is highly regarded.
• Understanding of the public health sector and the role of OT in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience across paediatric, acute, aged care, rehabilitation or community settings is valued; others considered.
• Experience supporting activities of daily living, home safety, equipment/assistive tech, and community participation.
• Evidence-based, person-centred intervention planning experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and clinical reasoning skills.
• Commitment to high-quality, person-centred care in a multidisciplinary team.
• Current First Aid and CPR; WWC/Police Check or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based OT assessment and intervention across community, acute and aged care services.
• Work with clients across the lifespan, from children to older adults, in diverse settings.
• Contribute to development of functional goals and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with families, carers and other health professionals to support client participation and outcomes.
