Job summary

Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Community Occupational Therapist (Level 1/2) for Home Based Therapy. The role is temporary full time (38 hours/week) up to June 2029, statewide in Sydney NSW. Responsibilities include OT assessment and interventions for older adults and those with disabilities, with potential placements at major hospitals.

NSW driver’s licence required; AHPRA registration essential. Remuneration ranges from $1,522.06 to $2,171.40 per week plus superannuation.

• Recognised qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).

Sydney Local Health District has a long and proud history of delivering care in the community including prevention, early intervention, assessment, treatment, health maintenance and continuing care services designed to improve and support the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.

About the Role

This position is a district wide role and work may also be at Canterbury Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital or Concord Repatriation General Hospital.

To provide community based Occupational Therapy (OT) assessment and interventions to older people and adults with disabilities who are clients of the Home Based Therapy Service (HBT).

• Recognised qualifications in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated skills and community based experience in the Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment of older people and adults with physical disabilities.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
