Curis Recruitment is recruiting Registered Midwives with community experience for roles across the Northern Territory. You will join a supportive team delivering midwifery care across Barkly communities and Tennant Creek on weekends. Roles are in remote health facilities with short-term agency contracts.

Offer includes up to AU$94.58 per hour base rate plus penalties, fully furnished housing, return travel, and a $1,000 bonus after completing a 12-week block. Start October 2026.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration as RN and Midwife is required.
• Midwifery qualifications and relevant experience.
• Current REC or equivalent emergency certificate.
• Current immunisation provider certificate.
• COVID vaccination provider certificates for Pfizer and Paediatric vaccines.
• Maternity emergency management upskill or plan to complete within contract.
• Current BLS.
• ISTAT competent with access number.

• Up to $94.58 per hour base rate plus penalties for overtime, weekends, on call etc
• Short term agency contract. Up to 12 weeks available
• Must be able to start in October 2026
• Fully furnished housing provided free

• $1000 bonus if you complete a 12 week block

Working in this Northern Territory health facility you will help meet the needs and priorities of local communities to improve health outcomes in Midwifery.

During the week you will be working in Barkly communities and then the weekends based in Tennant Creek.

Year-round blue skies, stunning landscapes, and vibrant, diverse, and warm communities - that's life in the Northern Territory! Only a short flight from most Australian cities, not just a must-see destination renowned for its individual identity and rich cultural heritage but is a remarkable community to set up home in.

As a small regional centre, these facilities one would find in larger country towns like Katherine or Alice Springs however it does provide for all the basics that most people require, and several tourist attractions within easy reach like the beautiful Lake Mary Ann.

To be eligible for this position you must:

• Have current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse and Midwife
• Relevant qualification and experience in Midwifery
• Have current remote emergency management (REC) or equivalent emergency certificate
• Current recognised immunisation provider certificate
• Current COVID vaccination provider certificates for Pfizer and Paediatric vaccines
• Current maternity emergency management or midwifery upskill or commitment to completing this within your contract
• Current BLS
• Must be ISTAT competent, certified and have access number
