Job summary

Mallee Family Care's NSW program provides free legal information, advice and casework to residents in Broken Hill and surrounding areas, with outreach to Wilcannia, Menindee and other towns. The Community Engagement and Legal Education Worker connects with community partners and supports access to justice across Far West NSW.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Development, Law or other related discipline.
• At least 3 years’ experience.
• A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel, with overnight stays if required.

Responsibilities

• Connect with community stakeholders and develop referral pathways.
• Deliver community legal education sessions on key topics.
• Support service delivery across Far West NSW and Broken Hill areas.
