Mallee Family Care is seeking a dedicated Financial Counsellor to work within the Financial Counselling Program. The role involves intake assessments, education sessions, and linking clients to financial relief resources, while maintaining boundaries and not providing complex financial advice.

The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Community Services or equivalent, experience with priority client groups, and a current drivers licence.

Qualifications

• Diploma level qualification in Community Services or equivalent.
• Experience in working within community services and with priority client groups.
• Willingness to travel and prepared to be accommodated overnight when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide intake assessments and community education sessions to increase financial literacy.
• Identify client needs and refer to appropriate resources and services.
• Assist with access to financial relief grants and other support as needed.
• Engage a range of stakeholders to boost financial literacy in communities.

Education
