Job summary

Angelic Care is seeking a reliable Disability Support Worker to provide personalised assistance to an NIISQ participant living in Edmonton. The role focuses on helping the client reconnect with the community, attend appointments, and build independence while navigating mobility and daily activities.

We require a male worker with NDIS screening clearance, Blue Card, First Aid/CPR, and a valid licence. Casual weekday shifts in Edmonton, QLD are offered with a four-hour shift structure.

Qualifications

• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is required.
• Current Blue Card (QLD) is preferred.
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or related qualification is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the participant to access the community safely.
• Assist with manual wheelchair mobility during outings.
• Support attendance at appointments, therapy and community activities.
• Plan enjoyable, meaningful and goal-focused activities.
• Encourage independence, choice and confidence.
• Provide companionship and social support.
• Communicate effectively with the participant, family and care team.
• Complete accurate progress notes and documentation.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and organisational procedures.
