Job summary

Yooralla in Mansfield is seeking a Disability Support Worker to help adults with disability engage in the community and home activities. You may work one-on-one or in groups, in community hubs or at clients' homes, with a focus on supporting goal attainment and daily living tasks.

You’ll join a supportive team, receive training, and have flexible casual shifts to fit study or personal commitments. A Certificate IV in Disability or related experience is valued, and you can access training to

Qualifications

• a positive approach, initiative and self-motivation
• be available to work in Mansfield and surrounding Yooralla services
• willingness to empower clients to reach goals and uphold quality and safeguards
• effective communication skills, and good English literacy
• ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team
• willingness to support clients with personal care activities
• Australian Driver Licence
• the right to work in Australia
• ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certificate if not already held

Responsibilities

• support adults with disability to engage in community activities
• assist clients one-on-one or in groups, mainly in the community and sometimes at home
• help with daily living and personal care needs including meal preparation, personal hygiene and mobility
