Job summary

Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is seeking a Community Clinician 26+ to join our multidisciplinary team on a full-time basis. You will support adults experiencing acute mental illness, delivering evidence-based interventions and recovery-focused care.

You will work independently and within a multidisciplinary team, applying trauma-informed, culturally sensitive care and maintaining high standards of clinical governance.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a mental health setting.
  • Registration/qualification in one of Nursing, Social Work, Psychology or Occupational Therapy.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health legislation, standards and frameworks.

About the Role

Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is looking for a Community Clinician 26+ to join our growing team on an ongoing full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team supporting adults experiencing acute episodes of mental illness, while contributing to their recovery journey.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct urgent and routine mental health assessments in line with clinical standards
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic and pharmacological interventions
  • Develop and implement recovery-focused care plans in collaboration with consumers and carers
  • Provide individual, group and family-based interventions
  • Monitor mental and physical health and support holistic care
  • Facilitate access to appropriate internal and external services
  • Undertake risk assessment, safety planning and discharge planning
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and data integrity
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement and clinical governance activities

About you

You are an experienced and compassionate clinician who is committed to recovery-oriented practice and delivering high-quality mental health care. You bring strong clinical skills, sound judgement, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

You will also have
  • Registration/qualification in one of the following:
  • Nursing (with mental health qualification) – registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Social Work (eligible for AASW membership)
  • Psychology – registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Occupational Therapy – registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mental health setting
  • Strong knowledge of mental health legislation, standards and frameworks
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
