Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Clinical Psychologist/Psychologist to provide community-based mental health services in the Southern NSW region. You will assess, treat, and coordinate care for children, youth, and families within a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasises trauma-informed practice, independence in clinical work, and ongoing quality improvement, with strong collaboration and documentation using IT systems. NSW Health Rural Incentive may apply.

Qualifications

• Qualified and registered psychologist with CAMH experience.
• Extensive practice in child and adolescent mental health.
• Knowledge of Mental Health Act 2007 and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based acute mental health services.
• Support Safeguards Team with clinical leadership and assessments.
• Deliver face-to-face, phone and telehealth appointments.
