Job summary

MEC NT is seeking qualified Communications Technicians to install, program, maintain and repair communications and cabling systems across the Northern Territory. The role offers an autonomous position on large-scale projects with private, Government and Defence exposure.

You will work safely to agreed diagrams and plans, hold a Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology, and possess a current Australian Driver Licence and White Card.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
• Construction Induction (White Card)
• OHS/WHS knowledge
• Be capable of passing a drug & alcohol test and police check
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in remote environments
• Cert III in Electrotechnology Electrician

Responsibilities

• Install, program, maintain, and repair communications, cabling systems, related components, board panels and equipment following diagrams and plans.
• Maintain communications and security systems safely and efficiently, delivering compliant, high-quality outcomes.
• Work autonomously and support project and operational objectives.
