Job summary

The Centre for Invasive Species Solutions is seeking a Communications & Marketing Coordinator for a 9–12 month maternity relief contract in Canberra. The role focuses on social media, content creation, and in-house design to support national environmental programs.

Responsibilities include managing Loomly social content, producing website and publication materials, newsletters, and coordinating events, webinars, and stakeholder engagement, with CRM and Salesforce transition support.

Qualifications

• Degree in communications, science communications, public relations, marketing or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in science communications desirable.
• Experience in managing social media (Loomly), using WordPress and Google Analytics.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva and Mailchimp.
• Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce and with project management tools like Asana.

Responsibilities

• Social media content creation and management including analytics.
• Create content for websites, presentations and publications.
• Layout and distribution of e-newsletters.
• In-house design of communication publications.
• Plan and coordinate events, webinars and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Support with board and member partner meetings and fundraising, media relations and brand development.
