ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

We are seeking a customer focused individual with strong community engagement experience to join Council's Project Management Office. Reporting to Council’s Manager Project Management Office, this position is responsible for providing high level communications, stakeholder engagement and administration assistance to support the $57 million bridge duplication project and other capital works projects in the Shire. A focus of the role will be to develop and implement a communication and engagement strategy, and provide administrative support to ensure proactive, transparent, and consistent communication with residents, businesses, and key stakeholders.

This position is a temporary position for a period of up to 12 months to align with project funding provisions.

To be successful you will bring

  • Qualifications in community engagement, communications, project management or related field.
  • Experience in communications and/or community engagement, preferably within construction or major infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be collaborative and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently, while being self- directed, motivated and collaborative.
  • Proven high level computer literacy with experience in Microsoft 365 and other corporate software, including familiarity with mapping software.
  • Graphic design ability with experience using digital communication channels, including social media, content management systems, and email marketing platforms to effectively engage target audiences.

  • An annual salary range of $79,800 to $91,600 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
