Avani Cypress Lakes Resort in New South Wales, near Newcastle, seeks a reliable Houseperson to support the housekeeping team and ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include restocking, linen delivery, and assisting room attendants across the resort’s shared guest areas.

This full-time position requires physical fitness and a proactive attitude, with rotating shifts across weekdays and weekends.

Job Description

Avani Cypress Lakes Resort is excited to expand our housekeeping department, with multiple full-time opportunities now available for Common Area Cleaners/Houseperson.

The Housekeeping department is integral to ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining productivity, and upholding the high standards of cleanliness and presentation set by Minor Hotels. The Common Area Cleaner involves servicing, cleaning, and maintaining shared guest areas throughout the property.

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking and motivated Houseperson to join our Housekeeping team. The Houseperson plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of the Housekeeping department, ensuring room attendants have the supplies they need and that the property runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Maintain the cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene of all guest-facing and housekeeping areas to the highest standards.
• Deliver clean linen, towels, amenities, and housekeeping supplies to guest rooms and designated storage areas, while collecting and disposing of used linen and waste.

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday.

Please note, this is a physically demanding role requiring regular heavy lifting, manual handling of bins and equipment, and movement of bulky items.

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $26.44 per hour

Saturday: $33.05 per hour

Sunday: $39.66 per hour

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:
