Avani Cypress Lakes Resort is expanding its housekeeping department and inviting applications for casual housekeeping roles. We seek energetic, detail‑oriented individuals who take pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience and thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities include thorough room cleaning, bed making, vacuuming, and bathroom sanitation while adhering to safety protocols. Shifts rotate across Monday to Sunday with morning starts, and hourly rates vary by day.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Basic safety with cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Good physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong communication with guests and team.
• Able to work weekends and public holidays.
• Flexible hours and rosters.

is excited to expand our housekeeping department, with multiple casual opportunities now available.

We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to providing an exceptional guest experience. If you’re energetic, have a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a team-oriented environment, we’d love to have you on board!

About the job:

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00 am and 9.00am

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour

Saturday: $40.62 per hour

Sunday: $47.39 per hour

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
