Minor Hotels is seeking a Common Area Cleaner/Houseperson (Casual) at Oaks Brisbane Mews Suites. The role involves cleaning and maintaining all common guest areas to the highest standards, and collaborating with team members to meet daily targets.

Training and tools are provided, with a rotating roster and shifts starting between 8:00am and 9:00am. The position is physically demanding, requiring regular lifting and bending, with hourly rates listed for weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a resort or hotel environment is highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

Oaks Brisbane Mews Suites is excited to expand our housekeeping department, with multiple casual opportunities now available for Common Area Cleaners/Houseperson.

The Housekeeping department is integral to ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining productivity, and upholding the high standards of cleanliness and presentation set by Minor Hotels. The Common Area Cleaner involves servicing, cleaning, and maintaining shared guest areas throughout the property.

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00am and 9.00am

This is a physically demanding role requiring regular heavy lifting, manual handling of bins and equipment, and movement of bulky items.

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):
Monday - Friday: $33.05 per hour
Saturday: $39.66 per hour
Sunday: $46.27 per hour
