Job summary

Multicultural Consulting Services Pty seeks an experienced Commissioning Lead to guide road-infrastructure control systems from construction into operational readiness. You will lead testing and commissioning across plant controls, management systems, communications networks and intelligent transport systems.

This role requires a degree in automation or related field and a minimum of five years in construction with two years in a commissioning leadership position.

Qualifications

• Degree in automation, control engineering or related discipline.
• At least five years in construction, including two years in a commissioning or control-systems leadership position.
• Experience commissioning complex control systems; road-tunnel or major infrastructure exposure desirable.
• Strong PLC, monitoring, control software and technical-documentation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop the commissioning strategy and schedule and oversee factory and system tests from Level 0 through Level 5.
• Approve test procedures, inspection plans and records and manage verification and validation.
• Coordinate vendors, subcontractors and engineering disciplines to resolve interface and technical issues.
• Track defects, risks and recovery actions through close-out, maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Prepare progressively complete test results, as-built records, operating manuals and handover evidence; guide commissioning engineers.
