Job summary

Enemix is seeking Completions and Commissioning Engineers for a Tier-1 client in Australia. You will drive completion strategies from construction through handover, reporting to the leadership team and ensuring alignment with contractual and client requirements.

The role covers completion and commissioning across large-scale infrastructure or energy projects, with a competitive contract rate and an immediate or near-term start. Australian working rights are required for site-based delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in completions and commissioning on large-scale projects (infrastructure, energy or industrial).
• Strong understanding of construction, testing and controlled handovers.
• Excellent organizational skills with complex project documentation.
• Site-based delivery experience is highly desirable.
• Focused on safety, quality and process-driven execution.

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute completion and commissioning strategies.
• Define, monitor and manage system and subsystem completions.
• Lead construction completion, mechanical completion and pre-commissioning activities.
• Perform walkdowns, inspections and verify installation readiness.
• Manage inspection reports, ITRs, completion checklists and test docs.
• Oversee punch lists, defects and NCRs efficiently.
• Support commissioning, functional testing, energisation and start-up.
• Prepare and handover documentation with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of systems from construction to commissioning and final handover. Reporting to the leadership team, you will drive alignment with contractual, legislative, and client requirements. Key responsibilities include:

• Shaping and executing completion and commissioning strategies to ensure seamless system handovers.
• Defining, monitoring, and managing system and subsystem completions.
• Leading construction completion, mechanical completion, and pre‑commissioning activities.
• Performing walkdowns, inspections, and verifying installation readiness.
• Managing inspection reports, ITRs, completion checklists, and test documentation with precision.
• Overseeing and resolving punch lists, defects, and Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) efficiently.
• Supporting and supervising commissioning, functional testing, energisation, and start‑up activities.
• Upholding the highest standards in HSE, quality, and permit‑to‑work compliance.
• Preparing and delivering handover documentation while collaborating with stakeholders for seamless acceptance.
• Working closely with construction teams, vendors, and commissioning authorities to achieve key milestones.

What You Bring to the Role Essential Skills & Qualifications

• A Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Demonstrable expertise in completions and commissioning on large‑scale infrastructure, energy, resources, or industrial projects.
• A strong understanding of construction, testing, and controlled handovers.
• Remarkable organizational skills, especially in handling complex project documentation.
