The Langham Hotel Melbourne is seeking a dedicated Commis Chef to join our Main Kitchen Department, a team of around 60 colleagues in a luxury hotel environment.

Experience in a fast-paced setting and large-volume production cooking is highly regarded; you will work across stations and support senior chefs while maintaining five-star standards and strong teamwork.

The Langham Hotel Melbourne is currently looking for a Commis Chef to join our Main Kitchen Department, which consists of approximately 60 colleagues.

Previous experience in a fast paced working environment will be highly regarded, along with demonstrated experience in large volume production cooking.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Ensuring the preparation of your section is prepared and completed to a five star standard.
• Complete assigned duties across all workstations, for example, grilling, frying, roasting and cold preparation areas as directed
• Advise the Senior Chef on duty of inventory items needed for operational needs as required
• Ensuring food safety logs and requirements are met at all times
• Actively promote and participate in teamwork and positive communication with the kitchen and other departments.

• Previous experience in a large kitchen brigade, ideally within a luxury hotel or similar environment
• Proven organisational & time management skills
