Qualifications

  • Understanding contract administration principles and risk management.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and implementation of commercial and contracting strategies across project activities.
  • Assist with administration of contractual matters including variations, claims, extensions of time and subcontract management.
  • Monitor and report on project commercial performance, including budgets, forecasts, cash flow and risk exposure.
  • Support the preparation, review and administration of subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
  • Assist project teams with contractual interpretation and the application of commercial processes.
  • Prepare contractual correspondence, notices and supporting documentation.
  • Contribute to change management processes and support the identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Work closely with procurement, finance, legal and project teams to ensure alignment on commercial matters.
  • Support the preparation of commercial reports and project reviews.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, lessons learned and commercial best practice across the business.

Commercial Specialist

As KBR's Infrastructure Solution Australia division continues to grow, we are seeking a Commercial Specialist to support the successful delivery of a key utilities infrastructure project in Adelaide.

This role presents an excellent opportunity to work across a large-scale project, providing commercial and contractual support while collaborating with project, procurement, finance, legal and delivery teams. Based in our Adelaide office, you will play an important role in supporting commercial outcomes throughout the project lifecycle, helping to manage contracts, monitor project performance and contribute to effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience Required
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Law, Finance, Management or a related discipline.
  • 3 years + experience in a commercial, contracts, project controls, procurement or contract administration role.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure, utilities, engineering consulting, construction or major project environments.
  • Understanding of contract administration principles and commercial risk management.
  • Exposure to managing variations, contractual notices, claims or subcontract administration.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Experience working within utilities, energy, water or broader infrastructure sectors will be highly regarded.
