Job summary

National Pumping & Irrigation – Brisbane QLD is seeking a qualified Electrician to service and maintain commercial pumping systems across the greater Brisbane and Moreton Bay region. You will fault‑find, diagnose electrical and control faults, and work across pumps, motors, VSDs and instrumentation.

We value hands‑on problem solving and customer‑facing skills; travel and occasional away work are expected. A current QLD Electrical Licence and a valid driver's licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with Electrical trade qualification and current QLD electrical licence.
• Experience across commercial, industrial, service or maintenance environments.
• Strong fault finding and troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial pumping systems.

About the Role:

We're looking for a qualified Electrician to join our growing team at our new Moreton Bay location, servicing customers across the greater Brisbane and Moreton Bay regions.

We're open to electricians from different backgrounds. Whether your experience is in commercial, industrial, maintenance or service work, we're looking for someone with strong technical skills and a willingness to develop their expertise in the pumping industry.

No two days will look the same. You'll work across a diverse range of commercial pumping applications, servicing, maintaining, repairing and fault finding across electrical and mechanical systems.

Your work may include:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial pumping systems
• Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and control system faults
• Conducting preventative maintenance and responding to equipment breakdowns
• Working across stormwater, wastewater, sewage and pressure pumping systems
• Working with pump controls, motors, VSDs and instrumentation
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical diagrams
• Working directly with customers to identify issues and deliver practical solutions
• Working alongside other specialists to support installations and larger projects

Some travel and away work may be required throughout the year.

About You:

We're looking for a qualified electrician who enjoys fault finding, solving problems and takes ownership of their work.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Electrical trade qualification and current QLD electrical work licence
• Strong electrical fault finding and troubleshooting ability
• Experience in commercial, industrial, service or maintenance environments
• Experience with motors, electrical controls, VSDs or similar equipment highly regarded
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical diagrams
• Confidence working independently and dealing directly with customers
• Current driver’s licence and full Australian working rights
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Pumping industry experience is desirable, but not essential.
