Job summary

Symal Group is delivering a landmark Solar Farm and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Victoria. We seek an experienced Commercial Manager to lead procurement, commercial strategy and contract administration, overseeing teams and coordinating with subcontractors, OEMs and stakeholders on a national-scale renewable energy program.

You will drive commercial outcomes, manage budgets, and shape delivery strategies across solar, BESS, civil and electrical works, ensuring safe, on-time

Qualifications

• Contractor experience on utility-scale renewables is essential.
• Experience with electrical infrastructure, transmission, or major infra projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of EPC delivery, commercial management, procurement and contract administration.
• Experience leading large teams and negotiating major subcontracts with international OEMs.
• Proven track record delivering projects safely, on programme and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement for all project packages across solar, BESS, civil, electrical and HV works.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, procurement activities, and subcontractor/commercial outcomes.
• Oversee commercial and procurement teams.
• Manage and monitor claims upstream and downstream.
• Ensure robust contractual management across upstream and downstream activities.
