Job summary

Winslow Infrastructure is seeking a Commercial Manager to oversee tendering, contract administration, procurement, cost control and claims across civil projects in Melbourne. You will partner with delivery and finance teams to provide clear commercial advice and help project teams protect value and deliver successfully.

Reporting to the BU Commercial Manager, this role requires a tertiary qualification, several years in civil commercial roles, and strong knowledge of Australian Standard

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Quantity Surveying or a similar field.
• 6–8 years in a commercial or contracts role with delivered civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standard construction contracts.
• Experience in cost control, risk and opportunity management.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract reviews and draft departures for tender submissions.
• Assess risk and opportunity across tenders and project delivery.
• Establish contracts, summaries and risk registers with delivery and finance.
• Manage variations, extensions of time, claims and contractual notices.
• Lead downstream procurement across subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review cost and performance reports and support monthly reporting.
• Draft clear correspondence to clients and the supply chain.

About you

• Strong Excel skills. Jobpac, Docketbook or other ERP experience is useful
• A clear communicator who can simplify complex issues
• Comfortable travelling to project sites as required
