Job summary

Laing O’Rourke in Australia is seeking a Commercial Manager to join the AUKUS team delivering the ANI/NPSCY project at Osborne, SA. You will drive performance, margin and risk management across budgets, forecasts and reporting.

Applicants should have MRICS (or working towards), 10+ years in construction commercial, a relevant degree, strong Excel skills, and be eligible for NV1-level security clearance.

Qualifications

• MRICS accreditation or working towards.
• 10+ years’ post graduate experience in commercial within construction.
• Degree in Construction Management, Building, Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Australian citizenship with ability to obtain NV1 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive performance, margin and risk management.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, cost control and reporting.
• Manage commercial risk, change, claims, disputes and contract compliance.
• Build strong client, stakeholder and supply chain relationships.

Laing O’Rourke, with joint venture partner Amentum Australia, will play a central role in supporting Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) to develop and deliver the Nuclear‑Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY) project at Osborne, South Australia. We will provide program and construction management services of nuclear related civil infrastructure, site‑wide nuclear licensee development expertise, and nuclear safety leadership.

We are currently seeking a Commercial Manager to join our AUKUS team.

• Attained or working towards obtaining MRICS.
• Minimum 10 years’ post graduate experience in commercial within the construction industry.
• Construction Management, Building, Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Microsoft software especially Excel.
• Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
