Job summary

Janina Louise Legal Recruitment partners with a national law firm to recruit a senior commercial litigator for Melbourne. The role involves handling high quality, complex disputes across corporate, commercial and shareholder matters, with scope for some appearance work.

The successful candidate will have 4-8 years' PQE in commercial litigation, be pragmatic and client-focused, and ideally near Senior Associate level.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years' PQE with emphasis on commercial litigation.
• Experience handling high quality, complex disputes across corporate and private client matters.
• Able to manage a varied disputes caseload with mentoring and collaboration.
• Strong client focus and pragmatic approach to case strategy.

Responsibilities

• Work on high quality, complex litigation matters for a broad range of clients: listed companies, major private companies, SMEs and high net worth individuals.
• Handle general corporate and commercial disputes, directors and shareholder matters, insolvency and property related issues across jurisdictions.
• Opportunity to undertake some appearances as part of the role.
• Contribute to a collaborative and mentoring-friendly disputes team environment.

Our client, a national law firm is seeking a senior commercial litigator with 4-8 years' PQE to join their growing disputes team in Melbourne.

Working with friendly and approachable partners, you will act on behalf of a broad range of clients including listed companies, major private companies, SMEs and high net wealth individuals.

The disputes work is complex, interesting and varied including general corporate and commercial disputes, directors and shareholder matters, insolvency and property related matters across a range of jurisdictions. There is also the opportunity to do some appearance work if that’s of interest.

With at least 4 years' PQE with an emphasis on commercial litigation, you are keen to build on your experience and progress your career as a commercial litigator. You are pragmatic and flexible in your approach and aim to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients. Ideally you are at or close to Senior Associate level.
