Job summary

Amida Group in Sydney is seeking a Commercial Lead / Contracts Manager to oversee the commercial function across projects. You will manage a small team of Senior/Contracts Administrators, provide contractual advice, and support project teams on profitability and compliance.

With 7–15+ years in similar roles, you will handle complex contracts, risk assessments, and reporting while engaging with stakeholders and driving contract administration improvements across defence, remedial and construction

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Contracts Management, Engineering, Construction Management or similar.

Great opportunity to work with an established national Contractor.

A market leading Tier 2 contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking a Commercial Lead / Contracts Manager to join their growing business in Sydney. It could also be a Senior Contracts Administrator stepping up too.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for leading the commercial function across projects and provide understanding to the project team while managing a team of 3 to 4 Senior / Contracts Administrators and a few grads.

The role will be providing contractual and commercial advice, dealing with disputes, adjudication, trouble shooting on projects, interrogating commercial contracts, understanding project profitability and regional corporate overheads etc. The role may or may not deliver projects, could be more dipping in and out as well as running the larger scaled specialised construction projects.

The Commercial Lead / Contracts Manager will run about $130m to $150m of work per annum that the team is dealing within defence, remedial and construction (fit-out, refurb, newbuilds, upgrades etc). Individual projects from smaller up to $15m but sometimes up to $50m-$75m.

Candidates can come from a tier 1, 2 or 3 background.
