Job summary

InsureBuild seeks an Estimator based in Heidelberg West, VIC. You will assess damage from insurable events, prepare quotations for domestic and commercial rebuilds, and liaise between insurers and homeowners. Familiarity with BCA and Australian standards is preferred, with travel to other offices as needed.

You will be responsible for accurate causation reports, reporting writing, and maintaining OH&S and legal compliance while supporting customer service for queries.

Qualifications

• Strong technical building knowledge.
• Strong time and organisational management skills with the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to be empathetic to the needs of the customer.
• Insurance industry building experience is considered an advantage but not essential.
• Proficiency in report writing software and technology (Office 365, MS Teams, Prime Ecosystem).
• Must have a current and valid driver's licence, and white card.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessment and quotations for property damaged by insurable events.
• Assessing damage by collecting information to provide accurate causation reports.
• An understanding of BCA and Australian standards is preferred.
• Liaise between insurance companies and insured home owners.
• Assist customer service staff with client related queries.
• Compliance with OH&S and legal requirements.
• Adherence to insurer and internal KPI's.
• Occasional interstate travel to other offices to assist in increased workloads.
