Grant Thornton Australia is seeking a Legal Counsel to join our National In-house Legal Team on a 14‑month fixed‑term contract. This broad, commercial role covers contracts, M&A and regulatory matters, and suits a pragmatic lawyer with strong negotiation skills and stakeholder engagement.

You will draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, advise on M&A and regulatory issues, and help implement practical efficiencies.

Qualificações

• 4-7 years post-qualification experience in private practice or in-house
• Strong capability in drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders and deliver commercial outcomes

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts
• Advise Senior Legal Counsel and General Counsel on M&A, regulatory matters and disputes
• Identify and implement practical legal and process efficiencies
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance and Independence to provide commercially relevant advice
• Identify emerging legal risks and mitigation strategies
• Educate colleagues on legal and commercial risk through training and policy guidance
