Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking a Commercial Business Partner for an immediate 3-4 month contract in St Leonards. This highly analytical and commercially focused role partners with Operations and Delivery teams to optimise labour, utilisation and costs.

The successful candidate will translate large datasets into practical commercial insights, maintain financial models, and use Power BI to drive decisions. Strong Excel, modelling and stakeholder management are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in commercial operations or business partnering.
• Ability to work with large datasets and complex data structures.
• Experience with labour utilisation and cost optimisation.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing senior leaders.
• Proficient in financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Analyse labour costs, utilisation and productivity to identify trends and opportunities.
• Partner with Operations and Delivery leaders to optimise resource allocation.
• Develop and maintain financial models and commercial reporting.
• Work with Power BI and data visualization tools to provide meaningful insights.
• Identify and drive cost optimisation and margin improvement initiatives.
• Support workforce planning, forecasting and resourcing decisions.
• Evaluate commercial opportunities, tenders and contracts.
• Leverage AI and automation to improve reporting, modelling and analytical capability.
• Translate complex data into clear, practical recommendations for stakeholders.
