Job summary

Saputo Dairy Australia is seeking a Commercial Analyst within the FP&A team at Freshwater Place to deliver accurate commercial reporting and insightful analysis. You will partner with Commercial Finance, Sales, Operations and Procurement to understand performance drivers and inform better decisions across finance and the business.

Key responsibilities include daily/weekly reporting, weekly P&L commentary, budgeting and forecasting support, and month-end close activities, with strong Excel and BI

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification required.
• Minimum three years' experience in FMCG, manufacturing, dairy or similar complex commercial environment.
• Advanced Excel with financial modeling and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and curiosity to understand drivers behind numbers.
• Solid commercial acumen with ability to provide meaningful commentary and recommendations.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management.
• Proactive, hands-on, self-directed, and able to seek answers.
• Strong communication and relationship-building to influence stakeholders.
• Experience with BI reporting tools; SAP exposure advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily and weekly sales reports for Foodservices and Route channels.
• Consolidate weekly Commercial P&L reporting with clear commentary.
• Complete month-end reconciliations, journals and profitability reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and division-wide management reporting.
• Analyse customer profitability, purchase price variance, freight and inventory.
• Partner with Commercial Finance, Sales, Operations, Procurement and site finance to understand performance drivers.
• Investigate trends and anomalies, turning data into practical insights.
• Contribute to regular and ad hoc business performance analyses and projects.
