Add expected salary to your profile for insights

We're on the lookout for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join us on a 12-month contract and play a key role in bringing data-led insights to life across our business. If you're excited by data, thrive on collaboration and want to play a part in driving strategy across an iconic Aussie brand, this could be your perfect next move!

Who are we?

For 35 years, The Coffee Club has been an iconic & beloved staple in Australia. The Coffee Club was built on a foundation of family, friends, and meeting customer needs. We’re more than just a café; we’ve created a space that’s casual yet sophisticated, stylish yet affordable. Today, we’re one of the world’s largest Australian café chains, serving millions of loyal customers.

2024 was a huge year for The Coffee Club. We launched our new Three Stories Specialty Coffee Blend – our first new blend since 1989. We partnered with MasterChef, and we celebrated our 35th Birthday. We refurbished 31 stores with a totally new look and feel, and there’s even more to come in 2025.

As part of Minor DKL Food Group and a subsidiary of Thai-listed Minor International PCL, we are a leading Australian retail food franchisor who continues to innovate and grow.

What is the role?

Joining us on a 12-month parental leave contract, you’ll report to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager and step into a key role that suits someone who enjoys delivering reports, dashboards and analysis that empower our operations teams and senior leaders to make informed, strategic decisions. If you love transforming complex data into clear, commercial insights that drive real business outcomes – this one’s for you.

This role offers flexibility — we’re open to part-time (3–4 days) or shorter hours, with the option of full-time for the right candidate.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Owning and delivering daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to track performance and support operational outcomes.
  • Developing automated dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI.
  • Building and managing financial models and scenario analysis to guide business initiatives.
  • Supporting cross-functional teams with insightful commercial analysis and project tracking.
  • Presenting complex data in a clear, engaging way to stakeholders across the business.
  • Responding to ad hoc requests to support business performance and planning.

Who are we looking for?

You’re an experienced and commercially minded finance professional who thrives on turning data into clear insights and partnering across the business to drive results. You’ll bring:

  • Solid experience in Commercial or Financial Analysis, ideally within retail, FMCG or hospitality.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, data modelling and dashboard creation.
  • Strong Excel and SQL skills, with the ability to dive deep into data sets.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for finding stories in the numbers.
  • A collaborative approach, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Bonus points if you love food, coffee and the buzz of the hospitality scene!

Any other benefits?

  • Enjoy flexible hybrid working options, great team culture, and a vibrant office environment.
  • Make an impact during a key period and work with a passionate, high-performing team.
  • If you're a coffee lover: enjoy Barista-quality coffee every day!

There are a host of other benefits including employer-funded paid parental leave, purchased annual leave, flexible working arrangements and access to a subsidized training and development program just to name a few!

If you're ready to contribute your skills and passion to our team, we want to hear from you!
