Job summary

Amida Recruitment is working with a well‑regarded commercial construction and fit‑out contractor in Sydney to hire an experienced Estimator. You will manage end‑to‑end estimating for multiple tenders, from feasibility through final pricing.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and tender docs, completing take‑offs, pricing labour, materials, preliminaries and subcontractor packages, and issuing tender enquiries.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred).
• 3–6+ years’ experience in an Estimator role within commercial construction or fit out.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and trade sequencing.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction and fit out projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation to understand project scope.
• Complete take-offs and pricing labour, materials, preliminaries and subcontractor packages.
• Prepare and issue tender enquiries and manage subcontractor pricing returns.
• Analyze subcontractor quotes, identify scope gaps, exclusions and risk items.
• Assist with early-stage feasibility estimates and cost plans.
