Peninsula is seeking a Legal Counsel to partner with business leaders, shape commercial direction, and mentor junior lawyers. You’ll handle complex contracts, ensure compliance, and proactively manage legal risks across ANZ.

Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll provide clear, commercially focused advice and contribute to internal policy development while supporting training initiatives and staying abreast of evolving laws and industry standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years post-qualification experience with current practicing certificate.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of complex commercial agreements.
• Excellent knowledge of contract law and commercial law.
• Proven ability to provide clear, concise, and commercially focused legal advice.

Responsabilités

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a variety of commercial contracts.
• Provide proactive legal advice on employment-related issues, consumer protection laws and WHS across ANZ.
• Advise, negotiate and resolve internal employment-related and commercial disputes.
• Identify and analyse legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Stay updated on legislation, regulations and industry developments.
• Develop and implement internal legal policies and procedures.
• Contribute to legal training for internal teams.
