Job summary

CareerMode is partnering with an iconic Brisbane organisation to appoint a Commercial Analyst on a 4-month contract. You will build Power BI dashboards and ELT reports, and perform high‑level cost centre and revenue analyses to support the finance transformation journey.

You should bring advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, strong stakeholder communication, and the ability to forecast and improve visualisations of key metrics. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience creating Power BI dashboards and ELT reporting.
• Strong communication to share insights with stakeholders.
• Advanced financial modelling and forecasting.
• Proficient in Excel for complex analyses.
• Experience with variance analysis and cost/revenue tracking.

The Company

CareerMode is exclusively working with an iconic Brisbane organisation for a pivotal role in their finance transformation journey. Initially starting as a 4-month contract, we’re seeking an experienced Commercial Analyst to help deliver on a number of key projects. Reporting into the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Building and developing dashboards in Power BI

Building and developing reports for the ELT

High level analysis of cost centres and revenue streams

Variance analysis

Help decision making by improving visualisation of key metrics

Analyse and improve forecasting spreadsheets

About You

Demonstrated experience using power BI to develop dashboards & reporting

Strong communication skills to communicate insights, results, and workflows to various stakeholders

Advanced financial modelling skills
