Job summary

Amentum is seeking multiple Commercial Advisors to support Defence programs from the RAAF Base Edinburgh, Adelaide. You will provide commercial and contract management expertise across complex Defence environments, working with Defence, industry and government stakeholders to deliver outcomes.

This role focuses on managing procurement activities, tender evaluations, negotiations, and ensuring contractual obligations are met, while contributing to governance forums and continuous improvement in

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial management, contract management, procurement, or acquisition environments.
• Experience with ASDEFCON and Commonwealth contracting procurement frameworks essential.
• Experience managing complex contracts and supplier relationships.
• Knowledge of Defence commercial and governance processes.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to assess and manage risk.
• Experience preparing commercial documentation, reports, submissions, and briefs.
• NV1 Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.

Tell me about this role:

We are seeking multiple Commercial Advisors to provide commercial and contract management expertise within a complex Defence environment. Working closely with Defence, industry, and government stakeholders, you will play a key role in managing commercial activities, supporting procurement outcomes, and ensuring contractual obligations are effectively delivered.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to strategically important Defence programs while influencing commercial decision-making, managing risk, and supporting value-for-money outcomes. You will work across a broad range of commercial activities, engaging with stakeholders to drive successful project delivery and achieve program objectives.

Location: RAAF Base Edinburgh, Adelaide SA

What will I be doing day to day?

• Provide commercial advice and contract management support across Defence programmes.

What Sort of Skills Do I Need?

Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday), onsite with flexibility in line with client requirements.
