Job summary

Select People in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Excavator/Combo Operator to join a growing landscape construction team on large-scale commercial and residential projects. You’ll operate a range of machinery, support trenching and drainage work, and actively participate with the crew on varied sites.

The role emphasizes hands-on involvement beyond machine operation, strong excavation experience, and working safely around sandstone, retaining walls and irrigation systems.

Qualifications

• Experience operating excavators in the 1.7–8 tonne range.
• Proven ability in land clearing, trenching and site preparation.
• Confident with levels, falls, drainage and concrete works.

Responsibilities

• Operate 1.7, 4 and 8-tonne excavators and track loaders.
• Drive MR/HR trucks when licensed and assist crew on site.
• Perform land clearing, trenching, drainage installation and sandstone/retaining wall prep.
• Support the landscape construction team when machinery isn’t required.
