Job summary

Raytheon Australia is seeking a bright Combat System Sustainment Officer to join the Collins Class Combat System IPT. The role focuses on sustaining and maintaining complex propulsion and sensor systems, reporting to the Operations Lead, and coordinating with internal and external customers to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years relevant post-qualification experience.
• Introductory knowledge of Systems Engineering.
• Defence environment experience desirable.
• Eligible to obtain Australian Defence Security clearance to Negative Vetting 1.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice for Combat System component queries including obsolescence triage.
• Investigate technical and alternative parts; raise DMDR for components needing engineering changes or affecting sustainment.
• Coordinate Life of Type Buy analysis and recommendations.
• Conduct root cause analyses as required.
• Review FRACAs data.
• Plan maintenance and repair activities and provide recommendations for preventative maintenance.
• Support No Fault Found activities as needed.
• Provide preventative maintenance support for Combat Systems currently in service.
